God’s People

I have found that I learn more in a room with a motley crew from every walk of life and we talk, read scripture, praise God, pray, etc. In other words, everyone is being real and no one is above another. Nothing is scripted. We come as we are.

  1. Country boy, what you describe is exactly how I want to gather in “church.”

I tire of gathering as spectators of exclusively one man’s presentation, where everyone is essentially forbidden to effectively interact with one another.

I’m not knocking institutionalized church necessarily, I mean it’s better than north Korea where all expressions of Christianity is forbidden.

But I would love to encounter what you describe in this article. 🙂

    1. Lee, I believe a lot of Christians have a hunger for something different than what takes place in Churches. Something more personal and relational. We miss out so much in these church buildings where, like you said, one man rules and everyone kinda is just a passive spectator.

  2. Bible study style services , house churches, I think there will be a real boom in these among the Body of Christ as those who are truly following what Christ said to us in the age seek to do that outside the apostasy found in religion which is what most churches are.

  3. Hi country boy,

We (my family) are hard core bible believing grace Christians. We often see works salvation peddlers who seripticiously present their works false salvation message as “grace.”

And I’ve never asked you, and I’m curious, what your position is on the matter.

So what is your view of salvation?

Meaning, what do you believe that someone must do to go to heaven?

Thank you very much for your time.

    1. Lee, I believe Ephesians 2:8,9. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.” 1 Cor. 15: 1-4 gives the Gospel. We are saved by faith alone in Jesus alone. In His death, burial and resurrection. Plus NOTHING.
